Burning sensation in vagina – could be a serious problem

Vaginitis – soreness or swelling of vagina along with a burning sensation in vagina during intercourse or urination is a sign of infection. Other symptoms may include Fatigue, headaches, muscle aches, weight loss, and rashes on other parts of the body due to second-stage syphilis; fever due to an abscess or infection; irritation of the vagina or genital area; rash on the skin of the genital area; strong or persistent vaginal odor that may be described as a fish-like odor; symptoms of pre-menopause and menopause, such as hot flashes, mood swings, and irregular or loss of menstrual periods; unusual or heavy and persistent vaginal discharge; unusual vaginal bleeding or spotting and vaginal or anal itching.
